EMPLOYEE VIBRANT COMMUNITY GRANTS

What are the Employee Vibrant Community Grants? In celebration of its 65th anniversary Corning Incorporated Foundation will issue sixty-five $1,000 Employee Vibrant Community Grants to eligible non-profit organizations nominated by employees.
Who could nominate? All part-time and full-time Corning US employees could submit applications online; the first 65 eligible requests received will be granted. Non-profit organizations may receive only one Employee Vibrant Community Grant, and employees may only nominate one non-profit organization.
What types of non-profit organizations were eligible? Public charities (IRS codes 501(c)(3) and 509(a)) that operate within a 20 mile radius of a US Corning Business location having at least 50 employees as well as fit into one of the following eleven eligible categories:
- Arts organizations
- Colleges, universities
- Health and wellness organizations
- Healthcare-based organizations
- Historical societies
- Nature areas, zoos, or gardens
- Private K-12 grade schools
- Public radio or television stations
- Public school districts
When will the grants be announced and awarded? The Employee Vibrant Community Grants will be announced in April 2018 and the grant checks will be distributed in July 2018. Winners will be announced in Corning World and on this website.
